Another type of detoxification involves water fasting. This is similar to juice fasting but instead of consuming only fruit and vegetable juices, you drink only water. Water fasting is different because it allows the digestive tract to relax more. With nothing to digest, energy is used instead for the healing and restoration of the body organs. Water fasting furthermore has the effect of making the person feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
If the two methods of fasting seem to be a little too much for you, there are even gentler ways to detoxify your body. Changing your daily diet to be more suited to the natural detoxification of your body is another method that you could choose. This involves eating whole grain foods as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. You should avoid foods which have high fat and sugar content as this would add to the toxins in your body.
Another method that can be used together with other detoxification techniques is having a steam bath, or sauna. Sauna helps remove toxins that are stored in fat cells. Together with the right diet and exercise, sauna can detoxify your body to a healthier condition.
Skin Body Detox
Skin brushing is another gentler way of detoxification. This involves brushing the skin with soft bristles made from vegetables. Doing this would remove the old skin cells and allow the lymph system to expel the unwanted toxins through the skin.
One last technique that is used to aid detoxification is yoga. Yoga utilizes breathing exercises that would help blood and oxygen circulation. The different positions and postures in yoga also help the organs to discharge the toxins out of the body.
These methods or the combination of some would help in the whole detoxification process of your body. But like most health practices, it is more effective if you are fully aware and understand the detoxification program that you choose.
