SET YOURSELF FREE THROUGH DETOX

We currently live in an environment that currently bombards our bodies with various toxins that are harmful to our bodies.  But toxins are not only taken in by the body through the air we breathe.  These can also be taken in through the food we eat, the beverage that we drink and the medicines that we take in.  Many of these contain various chemicals used during the processing stages.  When these are consumed by the body, these chemicals are then filtered out through our colon, kidneys and liver for these to be flushed out of our system.

Our body’s well-being relies on the maintenance of a delicate balance.  Anything that disrupts this balance can also be considered and classified as toxins.  As such, some of the toxins that plague our bodies are also a result of an imbalance in the body’s hormonal and chemical make-up.  Stress brought about by working conditions, emotional problems brought about by relationships and other factors can cause an imbalance in the body’s hormonal and chemical make up.  While these hormones and chemicals found in the body are meant to be beneficial to the overall wellness of the person’s body, having an excessive amount of a particular hormone inside the body can also cause them to become harmful to the body.  Just like chemical toxins, the excessive hormones and other chemicals would need to be flushed out of the body to ensure that the body maintains an overall equilibrium.

A person who experience chemical and hormonal imbalances brought about by an increased level of toxins and other free radicals in the body is affected not just physically, but also emotionally and mentally.  They become more prone to a variety of illnesses, depression, sleep deprivation and even addiction.  Because of this, it is important to undergo detoxification regimens to free your body and mind from radicals and toxins in order to promote an overall sense of well being.

There are a number of detoxification regimens that you can do which are extremely easy and does not require you to spend so much.  Here are a few ways to detoxify your body and mind to have not just a healthier body but also a healthier lifestyle.

Water Regimens

It cannot be stressed enough that we need to consume 8-12 glasses of water each day.  Our body is largely composed of water and as we go about daily activities, we need to replenish the water that our body releases through urine and sweat.  But more importantly, water greatly helps the body by diluting the levels of toxins and free radicals present in our body as well as to help the body flush out these toxins and free radicals in the body.

Vegetables and Fruits

Vegetables and fruits have been known as the “sweepers” of our large intestines.  Full of fiber, vegetables and fruits are known to help flush out toxins and waste materials that are consumed in the food we eat and the beverages that we drink.  These healthy foods also contain anti-oxidants which are helpful in offsetting the harmful effects of toxins and free radicals present in our body.  Furthermore, fruits and vegetables contain vitamins and minerals which are helpful in ensuring that our body organs and immune system remain in tip-top shape to fight the harmful effects brought about by the presence of toxins and free radicals in the body.

Fasting

Some people would often fast for a certain amount of time and would often just take in water during this process.  This prevents any additional toxins and free radicals to be taken in by the body which are often found in many foodstuff and beverages that we consume everyday.  However, this is not recommended for everyone.  People who have existing medical conditions, including tendencies of contracting eating disorders are highly advised to first consult with their doctor before undergoing a fast as a means to detoxify one’s body.

Detoxification Kits

There are a number of home remedies that can be purchased in the local health store that have been known to help people through the detoxification process.  However, because many of these have not yet been scientifically tested, it is best to first consult with your doctor about these before undergoing these home-based remedies.
