A detox diet involves a diet which consists of all natural food. Healthy organic foods are the primary component of a detox diet. When undergoing detoxification, it is advised that all food intakes should be chewed well. Also, drinking of water during a meal should be minimized. Relaxing before a meal would also help the detoxification process.
Aside from the diet, it is also recommended by some that you undergo enema to clean the colon and rectum. This procedure involves the use of water to flush out the impurities inside. With this procedure, you would be able to cleanse your body in a more direct way.
There are numerous advantages that can be obtained through detox diet. But before undergoing such a process, it is still best to consult a physician so that you would be fully aware of what you are getting in to. If done properly detox diet could indeed result in a healthier and rejuvenated body. But if done with less care and insufficient preparation than is needed, then you may encounter some unexpected effects. In the end it depends on the individual if the said detox diet could be beneficial to him or not.
