DETOXIFICATION FOR A CLEAN, HEALTHY BODY

No matter what our lifestyle is, we all need to undergo a detoxification regimen every now and then.  This is because every minute of every day, we take in a variety of different pollutants and toxins into our bodies.  We take it in through the air that we breathe, the food we eat, the medicines we take and the beverages that we drink.  Even if our kidneys, liver and colon are specially designed to do this, it is always a good idea to give our bodies a helping hand in flushing all these toxins out to make sure that we are free from these which could otherwise lead to a number of different illnesses and ailments.

There are a variety of detoxification methods that people undergo.  Some of the most common forms of detoxification regimens are the following:

Fasting

Fasting is perhaps the most common form of detoxification method that has been used by different cultures for centuries.  Fasting basically involves the individual from not taking in anything, other than water or juices, for a certain period of time.  Usually, this is done over a period of a few days.  By this detoxification method, the person prevents taking in more toxins and harmful chemicals in the body.  Through this, the body is able to rest and allows the organs that are tasked to eliminate the toxins that are currently present inside the body.

Specific Organ Detoxification

There are some instances wherein a person would just merely want to have a detoxification regimen that is aimed to cleanse out a particular organ of the body.  This is extremely advisable for habitual drinkers and those who experiences frequent episodes of constipation.  There are detoxification regimens that are tasked to address the most used organs when it comes to cleaning out the body from toxins such as the kidney, liver and colon.  Here, herbal supplements and drinks are used to dissolve any deposits and waste materials that have accumulated within these organs to prevent the development of diseases that could cause these organs to fail while at the same time ensuring that these organs remain in tip top condition.

Parasite Cleaning

Our body is composed of both “good” and “bad” bacteria.  There has been some connection with the increase of pathogenic bacteria and parasites with the increase of the toxins stored in our bodies.  Because the amount of toxins present in our system also weakens our immune system, this causes an increase in our likelihood of contracting a variety of diseases.  There are certain medications that not only cleanse our bodies but also eliminate pathogenic bacteria and other parasites that are present in our bodies.

Sauna

One method on how our body eliminates toxins and waste materials is through our sweat which is released by our skin.  Spending a few minutes in the sauna on a regular basis not only relaxes tight muscles after a stressful day at work.  It also prompts the body to sweat, thus eliminating harmful toxins and waste materials from the body.

Contrast Shower

There are a number of cultures that have promoted alternating hot and cold water while taking a shower improves one’s health.  This is because the changing temperatures enhance blood circulation which also allows the body to be able to effectively flush out the toxins accumulating in the bloodstream.

Detoxification Products

There are a number of detoxification products that are now available in the market that are made of various herbs that have been known to cleanse the body and promote an overall sense of well-being.  These products include foot patches, teas, and supplements.  These are available in your local health food store and over the Internet.

If you would like to go into a detoxification regimen, it is best to seek the advice of your physician or an accredited nutritionist for ideas as to which detoxification regimen is best suited for you.  While detoxification treatments do not generally have any side effects, if you have been diagnosed with a medical condition such as diabetes, or if you are pregnant or nursing, some detoxification regimens may not be advisable for you to undergo such as fasting or contrasting shower.
